Deathly Hallows Spoiler

Actual title is "Only Forever" (Ooh, original!) ^_^;;

I have to apologize, since I can't do the preview thing... but I'm not too torn up because I figure that anyone who hasn't gotten at least close to this part in the book yet who worries about spoilers shouldn't be looking at HP fanart on dA. O_o

I adore the twins and I adore Fred, and somewhat surprisingly for me, his loss seemed to be the worst of all of those in Deathly Hallows. This image was inspired not only by his loss but by my refinding of the Labyrinth quote "It's only forever - not long at all!" After I read that whole scene and pose popped right into my head. I sketched it fairly quickly on our white board and it turned out so well that I took a picture. As you can see I've fiddled with the tones/contrast etc. but besides that it's free hand. There was a bit of reflection in the picture which I've decided is mystical Spirit!Fred!magic. ^_^;

In the scene George is meant to be either in the shop or home in their room (you decide) and has just punched the wall in an explosion of pain and grief, tears finally falling now that he's alone. Fred watches him, missing him just as deeply and wanting to reach out to him, but when he does his hand goes straight through, and he must settle for letting it hover just above George's shoulder. It will be a long time before they're truly together again. Although it will only be for the rest of George's lifetime, to two people who have always, always been together it feels like forever.
